Webinars

ID 4 the Web is excited to begin offering two series of Webinars: App Webinars and Cognitive Strategies Webinars. The App Webinars will occur the last Friday of every month. We will explore top-rated apps from the AppReviews section of the Web site and demonstrate how the Making Cognitive Connections approach applies to the various apps. The Cognitive Strategies Webinars will demonstrate how integrating cognitive strategies into such areas as notetaking, organization, and time management can greatly benefit individuals with cognitive challenges.

Questions & Answers from the Notability Webinar

What were the names of the apps for the iPhone?
Audio Notes & Sound Notes -- Be sure to review information available for each of these apps to determine which app would be most appropriate for your needs.
Can the Text and Pencil tools be used simultaneously or do I have to tap to move between those two features?
Unfortunately, the app doesn't automatically switch between the Text and Pencil features. You will have to individually select the desired icon in order to switch between the Text and the Pencil tools.

Questions & Answers from the SimpleMind+ Webinar

Is it possible to add photos to SimpleMind+?
Based on my understanding, you can select from a limited number of icons that, when chosen, will appear to the left of the words in each topic. To add icons, tap the topic to select it, then tap again to bring up the tool bar. Tap the checkmark (second from the right), then tap the desired icon from the Select Icon list.

NOTE: The iThoughts HD ($9.99) mind mapping app does provide the ability to add stock icons and images, as well as images from your Photos and the device Camera.

Is there a character limit for the text within a node?
Based on my experience, the topic nodes expand to "fit" the amount of text entered. I have not found a limit yet.
